2020 Is In The Past

We have thrown our calendars in the trash! (Unless they have my photos on them!)

Now we start a new adventure.

Will it be new goals or a brand new venture?

Time will tell, but let’s do it well!

No matter what the chore, let’s do our best and not keep score.

What is important, is that we learn and grow and love,

and be thankful for blessings from above!

Yes, this is a photo of my toilet! Many of us may have felt like this cat this past year, or we can look at it like he is bursting out of the ‘dumps’ and hitting the new year with a bang! When my toilet was plugged this morning, I thought, “Oh no! I hope this isn’t how it’s going to be in 2021!” Then I told myself, “Or that’s finally the ‘end’ of 2020!”

Remember, we are what we think! I have learned that this is so important and so true! If you are feeling rotten, do something you like, or make a plan to do something you like. That famous philosopher, Elvis Presley, once said, “A person needs three things to be happy. Someone to love, something to do, and something to look forward to!’ Right now, the something to look forward to for many of us is a Covid shot, but then, look out! We boomers will be on the move again!

Don‘t dwell on your bad problems unless you are solving them and making them go away. If you are worried about something, ask yourself if there is anything you can do about it. If there is, do it. If there isn’t, tell yourself to move on, give it to God....

Enough out of me for today! I am looking forward to a New Year, but I do believe we will all have to work at making it better. It will not fall into our laps like a wrapped gift. Happy New Year and blessings and good health to all!
